Jack now has an RPG! While it's only in Beta, It's here! Made with RPG Maker MV, Jack is now after his beloved Milk Carton Plushie! Can he get it back after the bullies stole it from him? His Milk Plushie is in your hands...
Take control of Jack as you work your way through a massive space station consisting of 4 towns and cities paired with 2 forests and perhaps even more than what meets the eye... People out there are waiting for a saviour from the unknown, As Jack, you must decide whether to be that saviour and whether you are going to be it alone or with allies.
--------Image & Video Descriptions--------
The video you see on the right is a gameplay of Jack's RPG for Milk Plush which showcases several things you can do within the game, minus a few missing pieces. However, this does contain spoilers so please play the game first, If you're interested.
This other video shown above shows me experimenting with some tiles to make a road and me testing the teleport between maps when you leave areas. I originally used a grey tile which couldn't be stepped on and so I tried to make an event tile which allowed the player to walk on it, which turns out to be impossible, at least without editing the code, so I tried an alternate tile instead, which I think turned out better as it looks more accurate to a road, which was originally going to have cars, but I couldn't get vertical ones so I decided against it to avoid it looking peculiar. The First Image is Inkion II, A place you get to explore within the game as the first and main town you will spend time in. The town of course includes a home, shops. secrets and soon an inn, where you can gain experience without fighting.
These next 2 images are of the sprites made in and assisted by RPG Maker MV for the main 2 characters of the game, Conralo and Jack. My original sprites were a lot worse and as the new ones fit everything well, They were not used in the game but can be seen as the next 2 images instead. It is evident to see the clear improvement I got by using RPG Maker MV's inbuilt sprite creator.
This next image is that of a shop. I tried to put all the equip-ables into one shopping area which resulted in 3 separate people selling. I thought this might be quite complex at first, so I added in the girl who tell you info on what each person sells, which I feel like made the system a lot easier. It was also really fun to make the items and hide chests with currency around to purchase things. The three shops consist of Accessories, Weapons and Armours.
The next area image is the over view of the world. It is quite small as of now but in future versions would be updates to fit the entire map, well, only half as the other half is on the other side of the floor. Overall, at the moment this is quite bland but has potential to be quite complex and interesting in future versions of the game.
This final image is the transition from one area, the forest, into the castle, which was actually something I was rather proud of as it is clear to see a change in area without seeming forced and there is neither too much or too little going on. For me, this set the standard of what an area transition should be.
